The Apollo “Evolution” can accommodate anything from a single modem, through ISDN, Satellite, multiple Primary Rate ISDN interfaces with dynamic V.110, GSM V.110, V120, HDLC, GSM HSCSD, GPRS packet data, V.90 PSTN and DSL.

The system also has a unique Status messaging interface that can be combined into smart messaging or alert / telematics applications and can also interface directly to SMS products.A simple 1 second call to the “Evolution” could return the users email headers to a phone via an SMS, the next call could be from a mobile user over GSM gaining access to LAN/Internet based information using aPDA or Laptop, the next a home worker over 64K ISDN and the next a WAP call to the customers intranet server to discover the latest company news.

The “Evolution” also incorporates an AAA server so that users can gain authentication from a range of radius servers depending on their application, security equivalence or company in a multi-company configuration.
