Brand's Apollo 'Seamless Roaming' provides the mobile user with secure dynamic switching between bearer networks - whether it be Wireless LAN or GPRS both securely and transparently.

Brand's Apollo solution, matured over 12 years of successful deployment, is making mobile data a reality for business-critical data applications using Seamless Roaming for many carrier and enterprise users throughout the world. It removes the uncertainty of using a wireless network to transfer vital information by transparently integrating GSM, GPRS and 802.11b networking with LAN environments, both within the enterprise, and in the field, and provides automatic recovery from dropped connections without repeating a data transaction and assures that data is never lost, corrupted or compromised.

With more and more businesses demanding the need to access their corporate data from anyplace at anytime using any device, the Brand Apollo 'Seamless Roaming' function provides a secure connection for the mobile user whilst travelling from location to location.

For example, the mobile user could be at the office using 802.11 LAN technology and suddenly the Wireless LAN hub loses coverage. The Brand client automatically roams onto GPRS with the data path now going via the local public carrier. The client then roams onto a switched circuit network (GSM) as the GPRS connection was congested and then the route is via an international switch circuit (GSM) call to an ISP. All these connections are carried out securely and seamlessly with no interruption or reconfiguration from the user.
