Seamless Connectivity

The Apollo Mobility Server Lite Solution is a server / client mobile data solution. The solution has been derived from Brand's carrier class product the Apollo 'Anywhere' Server to offer a more affordable but feature rich solution to the SME / Medium enterprise.

Reliability

One of the most important elements of mobile data is the reliability of the solution. By using a unique recovery protocol, the software can automatically recover from lost or broken calls (which can happen over any communications bearer) and re-establishes the session transparently to the user. This ensures no re-logging or re-setting the system is required, the link just seamlessly re-established the session and continues exactly where it left off. Also when the connection is lost, the solution maintains the same IP address, so no new connection is needed and a seamless connection is withheld.

Flexibility

Moving between different wireless access environments can be a challenge to any mobile user. Connections between the client and the server can fail. The Brand software will try and re-establish the connection via the same bearer and if not successful, it will try and reach it through alternate bearers, for instance a user who is on Wifi and coverage is lost could automatically have their session redirected over a GPRS connection whilst maintaining the integrity of the session and no user intervention needed.

Performance & Cost Savings

Apollo's unique session management technology ensures that only real user data is actually transmitted and all other network traffic is suppressed locally. Brand also compresses the data before applying the VPN, so offering significant savings in time and costs due to faster throughput.

Security

The solution adds significant protection to the enterprise network by user authentication, AES (Advanced Encryption Standard), and encryption security which complies with all the standards. Any mobile user accessing the enterprise from a Wireless LAN, the internet or external networks would have to authenticate via the Apollo Mobility Server. Also with the built-in firewall, added protection is gained as only authenticated VPN data is allowed through the DMZ allowing only permitted clients access to the network.

The Apollo Mobility Server seamlessly and effortlessly integrates into any enterprise network with easy install, management and upgrades. User information can be displayed via a Customer Care application.
