    Iridium satellite phone users should note that their first point of contact should be Iridium themselves:

    However should you be unable to contact them feel free to let us know and we will do our best to assist. Be aware however that we are unable to rectify Iridium account issues. For latest drivers you can download these from our site or contact Iridium directly who will send them to you.

     

    Frequently asked questions about Iridium

    Do you support USB devices ?

    Yes, USB devices are supported by Brand communications software. It should be noted that you do however need the latest version for this.

    I am unable to ping www..com

    This is due to Iridium actively blocking ICMP across the Satellite network. This is purely to do with their policies on this and is nothing to worry about in relation to connectivity.

    I get a data call in progress but nothing happens

    Also check the signal strength on the phone as this sometimes bounces quite considerably.

    Check the Apollo emulator and report the displayed message and problem to Iridium.

    I get a authentication failure

    Double check your log on details including password.

    Failing that contact Iridium support on the above number and check your account is still active or that they do not have any outstanding problems.

    When I am using <3rd party product> mail client I am unable to send email.

    Look at the 3rd parties website and check for a new update.

    Try reinstalling their software.

    Contact Iridium data support and see if they are aware of any issues with this product.

    If you desire, contact Brand support and give us a copy of the software and username / password and we will attempt to use it on our various test machines.
